Just some thoughts about life experiences

Has anyone checked out this game? Pretty darn cool...great graphics...so far, I am really enjoying it. It looks like you really got to think about what you are going to do....strategy wise.

You only have 8 slots for skills to take with you when you head out into the wild. There is (reportedly) hundreds of skills (special attacks, spells, enchantments, hexes, ect) for each of the (6) Professions. So, lets say you have learned 37 skills....when you head out of the city/outpost, and go into the wild for adventuring, you can only choose no more than 8 to take with you to use until you enter another city/town/outpost.

There are 6 Professions: Warrior (needs no explaination), Ranger (nature lovers), Elementalist (Wizards), Necromancer (Master of the dead), Mesmer (Illusionist and controller), and Monk (healer/fighter combo). Each profession has attributes for that profession only. For example, a Warrior has Strength (his special attribute), Swordsmanship, Axe Mastery, Hammer Mastery, and Tactics. A Ranger has Expertise (special), Beast Mastery, Marksmanship, Wilderness Survival. What the "special" attribute means, if your character takes that profession as their primary profession, they get that attribute, but not if they take it as their secondary profession.

I have a Warrior/Ranger....so, he has the "strength" attribute, but not the "expertise" attribute. This also calls for some thinking about what you want to do as far as your character design is concerned.

All in all, I am really enjoying this game....plus, it is a MMORPG....but without the monthly fee....that in itself is a strong selling point....

My characters' name is Darr Winterwolf

if you get it and log on, let me know....maybe we can adventure together a bit.
